AllStar Fitness is planning an investment in both equipment and renovation and has planned a premier and affordable center for the community. They are excited to be part of the Portland community. Current members of the Metro Family YMCA can become a member of AllStar Fitness at their current membership rates.

History
The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette Board of Trustees made the decision to sell the Metro Family YMCA in the spring of 2007 and on June 1, 2007 the YMCA announced the sale of this site. Since that time the YMCA has continued to operate at the Metro Family YMCA in a short-term lease. The board made the decision that this location was not ideal to further the Y mission to achieve our goals of serving more children and families of all economic backgrounds. On July 1, 2009 the Metro Family YMCA became part of AllStar Fitness.

YMCA of Columbia-Willamette
The YMCA is investing in our other local health and wellness locations and on an ongoing basis looks at opportunities for new health and wellness locations. We continue to grow in a thoughtful and strategic manner. New locations would ideally serve more children and families of all socioeconomic backgrounds in a community where there is a need for a family friendly location. We look for locations where we would have program spaces for youth-oriented activities to best serve the community and to further our mission.
