Dare to Declutter 06/09
Ten-year-old Cameron Townsen rallied members and YMCA staff to support a “Dare to Declutter” fundraising event at the Clark County Family YMCA. This fundraiser, where community members could donate and purchase used items, raised $1,448 for financial assistance for kids and families to participate at the Y. More than 100 people donated items for the “Dare to Declutter” garage sale and 350 people stopped by to make a purchase and support their Y.

A YMCA member has been charged with inappropriate sexual activity with a minor. This is an extremely unfortunate situation and our prayers go out to the family. At the YMCA providing a safe environment is our primary concern.

YMCA Expands to New Site 08/08
The Hoop YMCA, a sports complex in Beaverton, is now being operated by the YMCA. The YMCA is pleased to expand their reach with this established facility. Members of The Hoop YMCA enjoy a variety of basketball and fitness experiences. There are six full size suspended maple basketball courts, state of the art fitness equipment and many other amenities for member enjoyment.
