YMCA Strong
Communities Campaign
The children, families and older adults accessing YMCA services come from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We provide access to services for all – regardless of background or ability to pay, through scholarships and reduced fees.

Your donation is used for financial assistance that provides those scholarships and reduced fees for those who are unable to afford full program fees. These gifts support a wide variety of children, teens, families and older adult programs provided year round. As a charitable organization and social service provider, YMCA programming goes beyond the pool and the gym and is a critical community resource at every stage of life. Our local YMCA addresses major health and human service needs that promote the holistic development of children and youth, encourage the health and well-being of all and strengthen families.

  • Early childhood development
  • Before and after school enrichment
  • Teen development
  • Health and wellness
  • Youth sports
  • Year-round resident camping

Each year more than 700 volunteers lead the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign to secure gifts from community members like you of $25 to $25,000. The 2008 Strong Communities Campaign is underway and we have raised almost $900,000 this year.
