YMCA Teen Development
The YMCA provides supportive and respectful learning environments through safe, fun teen activities. Each year 5,700 teens participate in our Y teen programs. We embrace developmental assets, which are the building blocks young people need to become healthy, caring, competent adults. The more assets youth have, the more likely they are to act in positive ways, bounce back from difficult situations and avoid risky behavior.

Teen Division
The
YMCA Teen Division offers Phoenix training, a teen transformation program that helps youth take responsibility for their choices through an intensive week end session followed by a several follow ups where teens set goals and establish a purpose for their lives. The Teen Division also provides Youth & Community Leader Forums, which bring together youth and business leaders to support dialogue between adult decision makers and young people in order to explore ways to better address common concerns.

Family Wellness Center Youth Programs
In our YMCA Family Wellness Facilities at Metro, Clark County and Sherwood we have classes and programs for teens, varying between locations, which include strength training, martial arts, swimming and employment opportunities.

Camp Collins Teen Programs
At
YMCA Camp Collins we offer Counselors in Training, an intense, two-week program that focuses on the leadership skills it takes to be a strong counselor. Youth can also participate in Teen Camp, which emphasizes self-discovery, teamwork, personal responsibility and positive communication in a two-week session. We also have Questor Unit of Residence Camp, which leads campers through an all day challenge program that emphasizes team building and specialty programming which allows campers to explore and enjoy exciting and challenging activities.
